π§ Interface Walkthrough
Letβs explore the interface of ChatGPT so you know what each part does before you dive in. Whether you're on desktop or mobile, the interface is clean and focused on chatting β but every detail matters.
π¬ Chat Box
This is where your conversation happens. At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the text input field. Just type your question and hit Enter.
- Use Shift + Enter to go to a new line.
- Previous messages stay in the thread so you can follow up easily.
π§ Chat History
On the left sidebar (desktop) or from the β° menu (mobile), youβll find your previous chats. These are saved automatically.
- You can click on any previous chat to continue it later.
- Each chat has its own context and memory.
- You can rename or delete chats too.
βοΈ Settings & Profile
On the bottom left (or through your menu), youβll find:
- Your account & plan: Upgrade to ChatGPT Plus to access GPT-4.
- Settings: Toggle dark mode, enable beta features, or clear chats.
- Custom instructions: Personalize how ChatGPT responds to you.
π Refreshing and Starting Over
Want a clean slate? Start a βNew Chatβ to reset the context. ChatGPT wonβt remember anything from the previous conversation.
